I'm very saddened to hear the world-renowned nature photographer Jim Brandenburg passed away recently. Famous for his wolves, he leaves behind a huge legacy. His unique vision was a great influence on my own photography when I was young. In 1994 as a young amateur photographer I wrote to him, sending him a few of my black & white prints (I used to spend hours in a darkroom). I was amazed when he wrote back! To this day, I treasure his thoughtful and encouraging letter. I dedicate these two images to him, as he picked them as his two favourites.
